اسبانيا ابتدت الحرب ضد [[الجمهوريه الفرنسيه الاولى]] اللى قامت بعد ما [[الثوره الفرنسيه|الثوار الفرنساويين]] شالو الملك [[لويس الستاشر]] من الحكم و اعلنو فرنسا جمهوريه و بعدين فى سنة 1793 اعدموه ب[[الجيلوتين]] , الملك لويس الستاشر كان من عيلة [[عيلة بوربون|البوربون]] اللى بتحكم اسبانيا. فى سنة [[1794]] أعلنت [[المملكه المتحده|بريطانيا]] و [[البرتغال]] الحرب على اسبانيا . و فى سنة 1799 [[نابوليون بونابارت|نابليون]] استولى على السلطة بعد ما عمل [[انقلاب]] برلمانى بدعم الشعب و الجيش و استفاد من الخلافات بين [[كارلوس الرابع ملك اسپانيا]] و ابنه [[فرناندو السابع ملك اسپانيا|فرناندو]]. سنة [[1805]] فى [[معركة ترافالجار]] هزم أسطول بريطانيا العظمى أسطول فرنسا و اسبانيا و ده كان نهايه لسيادة الاسبان فى البحار العالمية لصالح بريطانيا العظمى بسبب الحالة الاقتصادية الكارثية و اسباب تانيه إتخلى ملك اسبانيا عن العرش لصالح اخو نابليون [[چوزيف بونابارت|جوزيف بونابرت]]. من اهم الاسباب دى ان [[معاهدة فونتينبلو]] بين نابليون و [[جودوى]] اتسببت فى إعلان الحرب ضد بريطانيا و البرتغال و دخول القوات الفرنساوية شبه الجزيرة علشان غزو البرتغال لكن بدل من غزو البرتغال احتل الفرنساويين القلاع الإسبانية. مفاجأة الغزو الفرنساوى اتسببت فى تخلى الملك الاسبانى لصالح اخو نابليون [[چوزيف بونابارت|جوزيف بونابرت]].نابليون خلى اخوه ملك اسبانيا و اداله لقب ملك اسبانيا و انديز (مستعمرات اسبانيا فى امريكا الاتينيه).
الاسپان ماكانش عندهم اى احترام لجوزيف بونابرت, و إبتدا شعب مدريد انتفاضه قوميه ضد الجيش الفرنساوى يوم [[2 مايو]] [[1808]]. و ده مثل بداية حرب الاستقلال الإسبانيه اللى استمرت خمس سنين. صدر في 19 مارس سنة 1812 أول [[دستور اسپانيا|دستور اسبانى]], واحد من أول الدساتير فى العالم, بعد هزيمة قوات نابليون سنة 1813 رجع [[فرناندو السابع ملك اسپانيا]] لعرش اسبانيا و لغى دستور 1812 والقوانين الدستوريه و لغى قانون سلالة البوربون اللى منع الستات من انهم يتولو الحكم الملكى., واتولت بعده بنته الكبيره من مراته الرابعه ماريا كريستينا.
