English: All Saints, Buncton Small chapel in the parish of Wiston originally built for the hamlet of Buncton who had too far to travel to the main parish church which can be found today next to Wiston House. The hamlet declined during the medieval period but regrew when the residents of Wiston village, then at the foot of the Downs near to Wiston House migrated northwards away from the emparked lands around the manor towards the wastelands near Buncton. The movement was aided by the lords of the manor who moved the last of the villagers out in the 19th century. There are a series of blocked arches on either side of the church and there are suggestions that they may have come from Sele Priory in nearby Upper Beeding to be reused here during the medieval period.
