On March 9th, 2012 Michael Attree clearly states the following (on his other official website www.atters.com which re-directs to his blog: http://attersattree.wordpress.com/2012/03/09/36/ ):

“Michael Attree irrevocably releases all copyright to this one image (directly below this line) and kindly offers it to the public domain.” The picture displayed is the exact same one being used on Wikipedia.

The image still also remains on his other official site ( http://www.ministryofmoustaches.0catch.com/ ) stating by the image that "Michael Attree irrevocably releases all copyright to this one image and kindly offers it to the public domain."
