Found on a tobacco plant (Nicotiana sylvestris) in my back garden in Ipswich, Suffolk, TM16644502, on 2-June-2014. Wing length measured 3.2 mm. Spencer mentions a record from Herts (Barnet) and notes that the fly is probably more widespread. The larvae feed on the leaves daisies. There are NO UK records for this species on the NBN Gateway!

Update: The specimen was examined by Dr Tony Irwin on 10 July 2014 who confirmed the ID.

David Henshaw's database of Agromyzid observation shows records for Napomyza bellidis from Barnet(Griffiths), Berks, Somerset, Belgium and Russia.
